Under this scenario, employers with more that 30 full-time employees and more than 50 full-time and full-time equivalent employees will be subject to a penalty. See the employer penalty calculator for details. Employees who qualify for a subsidy will be able to get help paying their premiums. Employees over a certain household income threshold will receive no subsidy and be responsible for the entire premium. ‚Äč


This is the least expensive approach for the employer but will leave all employees paying for their health insurance out of post-tax dollars.
